A governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State under the platform of the
All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has said that
if elected comes 2019 he would abolish the joint account and ensure

Hon. Wadada made the promise at an interactive session with the
Executives of the Concerned Citizens of Nasarawa State in Kaduna,
“said if elected come 2019 my administration would abolish the joint
account system to enable the Local Governments function well”.

According to him “Local Governments would be allowed to collect the
monthly grant from the Federal Government directly to enable them
carryout meaningful developmental projects at the grassroots”.

He said, his administration would run an open door system of
Government to enable all the citizens contribute to the development of
the State.

Hon. Wadada explained that his administration would give special
attention to the following sectors namely: Education, Health,
Agriculture, Human Development, Roads among others.

Hon. Wadada a former member of the House of Representatives said “the
State Civil Service under my control would be reformed and civil
servants being the engine room would be trained so as to achieve the
desired result”.

While answering another question, Hon. Wadada said “Nasarawa State is
not a poor state, however some areas were not properly harnessed
saying that Nasarwa being the Home of Solid Minerals and food basket
of the nation, its citizens would be encouraged to achieve more. ELANZANEWS.M
