Whistleblower In Trouble Over Namadi Sambo’s House Raid

Former Vice President Namadi Sambo

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)will Thursday morning in Kaduna arraign one Abubakar Sani Chindo for misleading anti-corruption agencies.

Chindo, who calls himself a ‘whistleblower’, provided the false information that led the security agencies to raid the residence of the former Vice President, Namadi Sambo.

A security source informed the CITY VOICE that Chindo’s trial will take place at State High Court 7, Badarawa, opposite NDA Bus Stop.

The source reiterated the agency’s determination to rout corrupt practices, even by those who supply fake information to it.

Heavily armed security operatives from various arms of the security services, led by the ICPC, June 28, stormed the Kaduna residence of former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, in Kaduna State.

The operation, which lasted several hours, saw the operatives cordoning off the 1, Alimi Road residence of the former vice president, while some of the operatives went into the residence ostensibly to carry out a search. The operatives came in two vehicles, including a Toyota Coaster Bus and Toyota Hilux Van, while a third vehicle, a Toyota Corolla car, was used to block the entrance to the street where the house is located.
