Updated: el-Rufai Confirms Elanza Story, Appoints Yakawa, Saidu Adamu Counselors

Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai has appointed Mr lawal Yakawada and Hon Saidu Adamu as his counselors on political matter and Information and Communication respectively
The letter of the appointments was signed by the Secretary to the Kaduna State government, Balarabe Abbas Lawal.
The appointments confirmed the earlier story by Elanza News.
Both Yakawa and Saidu Adamu have collected their appoitment letters.

It was reported that Mr. Lawal Samaila Yakawada and Saidu Adamu who served as SSG and Commissioner of Information respectively during the Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa’s led PDP administration are to join the el-Rufai camp through appointments that would be announced soon.
Elanza News reported that Yakawada might takeover from Uba Sani as political adviser while Saidu Adamu might share some responsibilities with Mr. Olumuyiwa Adekeye who doubles as a special adviser on media and publicity to the governor, and also oversee the ministry of information that was turned an agency by the el-Rufai’s led government.
According to the earlier report, Saidu Adamu who was commissioner for information during the Yakowa led government will launder the image of el-Rufai and that of the government.
But the appointment letter issued to Hon Saidu Adamu stated: “I am pleased to convey to you the Decision of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai To Appoint you as COUNSELOR, to the Governor on INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION with effect from 14th August 2017.”

“2. The Appointment is based on your wealth of experience, good track record of performance and keen interest shown by you towards the positive development of the State. It is therefore expected that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of your duties.”

“3. You are accordingly requested to convey your acceptance in writing to the Secretary to the State Government within Two Weeks of the receipt of this letter.”
“4. Please accept my congratulations and best wishes,” the letter reads.
