Southern Kaduna Peoples Union has organised a one-day summit of stakeholders in politics and governance from 13 local government areas in preparation for the upcoming elections.
The programme, which is with the theme: ‘Towards Participatory Democracy In Local Government Council Administration and Election,’ will hold on 1 May, 2018.
According to a statement issued yesterday by one of the organisers, Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki, the event is expected to host array of
politicians and technocrats from Kaduna State, including the deputy governor of the state, Arc Barnabas Bala, Senators Danjuma La’ah, Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi.
Others expected at the occasion include: chairman, Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission, Dr Saratu Binta Audu. The summit is expected to discuss matters affecting the Southern Kaduna zone of the state.
The summit is coming amidst the forthcoming local government election in the state scheduled to take place in May.
