One of the leading gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Sani Sidi, has urged Muslims in the Kaduna State to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
In a goodwill message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration signed by his campaign organization, Sani Sidi called on Muslims to continue to make sacrifices towards the security, peace, unity and development of Kaduna State and Nigeria.
“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, let us use the period to reflect on the need to live in peace with adherents of other religions in our dear state,” Sani Sidi.
He disclosed that people must be ready to make sacrifices for the sake of peace and unity as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Sani Sidi said Muslims should use the Sallah period to extend hands of friendship and love to followers of other religions in the state for the sake of building lasting peace and unity.
The gubernatorial hopeful prayed for a successful Hajj exercise and the safe return of Nigerian pilgrims.
“I want to use this medium to pray for the success of this year’s Hajj exercise and a safe return of our pilgrims to Nigeria” Sani Sidi said while wishing all Muslims a peaceful and hitch free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
