The Secretary to the government of the federation (SGF),Boss Mustapha called on Nigerianss to pursuits Peace and Harmony with one another irrespective of diversity in religions and ethnicities.
He made the call immediately he paid his Sallah homage to the Lamidon of Adamawa HRH Dr Mustapha Aliyu Barkindo at his palace in Yola.
According to him Peace is panacea to development and Muslims and non Muslims have a duty to live in Peace with one another as it’s enshrined in the holy books and traditions.
“We use to live in Peace irrespective of one’s religion and ethnic background but there has been eruption here and there into our Peaceful coexistence, I’m sure the government under the able leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari and support from our traditional rulers will bring an end to all that” Boss Said
In what he consider his Sallah message, enjoins Nigerians to pursuits lasting Peaceful coexistence and hamorny,and to rise their hope for better country will be good to all without regard to one’s religion or ethnic background.
He described the 2019 Eid-el Kabir celebration as peaceful across the country with the exception of Maiduguri which witnessed few instances of pockets attacks by the Boko Haram insurgents.
”The auspicious Sallah was peaceful and harmonious as you saw the President in Daura yesterday well received and adorned by his constituents,all the report were positively good across the country.”
Boss further stressed the need of the opposition parties to stop heating up the polity as there are chances after four years for the electorates to decide.
”They don’t need to heat up the polity because they want to get power causing crisis and confusion, the beauty of democracy is that after four years there is another chance for people to decide.” He Said
