He made the call at a five-day workshop organised for Training on Research Methodology in collaboration with Medicom Laboratory Nigeria Limited in Jos, Plateau State capital.
According to him, United States for instance spends $473.4 billion, annually for Research and Development, China spends $409 billion, Japan $179 billion, South Africa $4.8 billion while Nigeria is far behind Sudan which spends 0.18 billion.

He pointed out that the school has the potential to grow to enviable heights adding that government has approved the establishment of the West Africa Post Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Science and the School is one of the three centers selected by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria to retrain foreign graduates for recertification.
