Niger Governor Gets New Director Of Protocol

Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has approved the
appointment of Umar Abubakar Ibrahim, as his new director of
Protocol (DOP), following the death of the former director, Haruna
Vatsa, recently

According to a statement issued by Hon.. Ibrahim Isa Ladan, secretary to the government of Niger State, the new director of Protocol, was until his appointment, Consulate General of Nigeria, Bata, Equatorial Guinea.

The statement added that the appointment of Umar Abubakar Ibrahim to the position is based on merit, proven integrity and outstanding record of performance in his previous assignments.

The new director of Protocol is expected to bring his knowledge and
wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new assignment by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him.

The statement added that Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello congratulates the new Director of Protocol on the appointment and wishes him success and Allah’s guidance in the performance of the arduous duties of his
Office.

He attended Government College, Kano, Bayero University, Kano and
Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he obtained Bsc. Political Science and Msc. International Relationsrespectively.

It will be recalled that the former Director of Protocol to the
Governor of Niger State, late Alhaji Haruna Mamman Vatsa died in July this year after a brief illness and he was from Lapai local government as the new DOP.
