NGOs PARTNER GOVT ON TALENT HUNT

In a bid to give children a befitting 2018 Children`s Day celebration, some Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Helping Hands International Ochedi, GLO, Diamond Bank, Apple, Hyundai/GAC Motors, HP Computers and Bill Gates Foundation are partnering Jema`a Local Government in Kaduna State in ‘’One Nija Talent Hunt’’, for Children of between 8 and 17 years in the area.
The Coordinator of the NGOs in Northern Nigeria, Mrs. Akira Barde, disclosed this in an interview, to Our Kafanchan Correspondent on Friday.
According to her, the event is a pilot scheme towards having ‘’Arewa Carnivals/Got talents,“ will be held at the Catholic church of Mary Immaculate, Garaje Kafanchan, featuring activities such as free skills acquisition training, debate, Cultural dance competition, Music, Pick and act, Quiz and fashion show.
She said, preparations for the event, which has reached advance stage, will commence at 1:00pm on Sunday, May 27th and 10:00am on Monday, May 28th, would be graced by prominent personalities within and outside the area.
The Coordinator said similar activities will be organized in some major cities across Kaduna State, for the Kaduna State carnivals/Got talents, later in the year, before the Arewa Carnivals/Got talents, in the future.
