NDE Boss Tasks Political Office Holders On Youth Employment

The Director General, National Directorate of Employment, (NDE), Dr Nasir Ladan, has tasked all political office holders to embark on remarkable program to compliment the efforts of government.

NDE boss, represented by DG procurement of the organisation, Alhaji
Suraz Adegbite, stated this yesterday at Kabba during the flag off of empowerment program embarked upon by the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Kolawole Mathew, in Kabba Kogi State.

He said it would become less cumbersome for the government if public spirited political office holders and individuals could compliment government efforts at reducing the unemployment saga.

“If all political office holders could think the same way Hon Kolawole has done in engaging idle hands in the skill acquisition programm, the number of unemployed youths would be drastically reduced “.

Earlier, the speaker opined that he was constrained to embark on the program to contribute a little, in his own way, towards uplifting the less privileged in the society, looking back at his own background before becoming what he is today stressing that within his limited resources, he would remain committed to the course of the downtrodden in the society.

He enjoined others to follow the New Direction Agenda of Governor Alh Yahaya Bello in providing succour to those at the low ebb of the
ladder.

Kolawole, who further promised the 135 member trainees, a token
fee of N500 every month, also called the trainees to take advantage of this opportunity with all amounts of seriousness to enjoy provisions of equipment at the end of the course.

Members, who graced the occasion, were Hon Abdullahi Hassan, deputy
speaker, Hon Rabiu Momoh Alfa, Hon Abdullahi Hassan, Hon Haruna Idoko, Hon jimoh Omiata, Hon Victor Omofaiye, Hon Pedro Obaro and special adviser on legislative matters, Hon Haruna Okpanachi
