A Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Nasarawa State, Umaru Danladi Envulu- anza has called on the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to urgently come to aids of victims of flood disaster in Doma local government area of the state.
The rainstorm which caused the dead of one person and destroyed many houses, displaced thousands homeless.
Envulu- anza who donated 2million to those affected by the disaster, urged state government and NEMA to quickly intervene to ameliorate their suffering.
Envulu-anza made the called when he visited the palace of Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Amadu Aliyu Ogah, to sympathise with him over the disaster that failed on his subjects.
The aspirant, however expressed concern to Doma people and it’s environ on the situation that claimed many properties worth millions of naira.
Speaking through leader of his campaign team, Hon. Dogara Macaulay Egube, prayed God to provide them resources to rebuild their homes, calling government and other relevant agencies to put in place measure that will avert flood in future.
He further appealed to the State Government and others well meaning individuals to assist the people with building materials to enable them start life again.
While responding, the Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Aliyu Ahmadu Ogah appreciated the team for coming to share in their grief, describing the incident as natural disaster that happened at God’s own permissive Will.
“though one person reportedly died and many houses affected, electric polls were also affected, but we thank God in all these and pray such will not happen again.”He added.
The royal father also thanked the them for the visit and cash donation to the victims, assuring to appropriately share it among those affected by storm.
