The Kebbi State government has said that it is ready to partner with the Birnin Kebbi incubation center to build the capacity of youths in the state who are talented in technology.
The state deputy governor, Alhaji Samaila Yombe Dabai, stated this in his office while receiving the new acting center manager of Birnin Kebbi incubation center, Shehu Mohammed, who paid him a courtesy call.
Dabai stated that the objectives of the center was in line with
aspiration of the state government in developing young talents to promote their wellbeing so that they can contribute to the development of the state.
“We will seat and see areas of collaboration and cooperation
because of the series of successes you have recorded ”, he said.
According to him governor Bagudu has donated 20 million naira
because he has observed that there are some children or youths are gifted in the area of technology and decided that such talents be harnessed to promote their ability.
He further said ”part of the plan is to train welders, iron
benders, upholstery workers, fabricators, motor electrical engineers and other allied functions that has to do with automobiles “.
Earlier in his address, the Acting Center manager of Birnin Kebbi Incubation Center, Shehu Mohammed, said the center is under federal ministry of science and technology and requested for the assistance from the state government in upgrading of the center in the provision of equipment and laboratory workshop for training of the youths.
