Kaduna: Parents Urged To Release Children For Immunization ‎


Parents and caregivers have been called upon to ensure they make their children available for polio vaccination during the March 2017 IPDs in kaduna state.

This was disclosed in a statement jointly signed by the Deputy Director (Health Education) Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA) Malam Hamza Ikara, World Health Organization (WHO) and the State Coordinator, Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio (JAP) Lawal A. Dagara.

3 Million Children of between 0 – 5 years are expected to be vaccinated during the exercise.

The exercise is scheduled for 23rd – 28th March, 2017 and would be conducted on the streets, house to house, and markets among others.

The statement explained that all adequate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise by the State Government, Development partners and other stakeholders.

During the exercise other interventions will be provided at health camps especially at the high risk areas, the statement further explained.

The statement commended the Traditional Rulers, Religion Leaders, Journalist and Stakeholders for their support and urged them to redouble their support in order to achieve desired results. ELANZANEWS.M
