One of the leading aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the 2019 governorship election in Kaduna State, Alhaji Shuaibu Idris Miqati, has said the state needs a purposeful leadership that will turnaround the misfortunes of the people.
Speaking to journalists while announcing his acceptance to vie for the office of the governor of Kaduna State in 2019, Miqati said he has all it takes to provide good servant leadership.
“Kaduna State needs a purposeful leadership to move forward. Maybe it’s because I am not in government but our problems lies in the implementation olf golod policies,” Miqati said, regretting lack of foresight by some political leaders.
“The Miqati movement has a blueprint that has taken care of most of the challenges confronting Kaduna State and how it can be tackled.”
“My blueprint has been in circulation since 2007. The desire to serve my people is not born out of selfish interest. We want to move our state forward,” Miqati added.
He called on the people of Kaduna to join the Miqati movement for a better state.
“We have interacted with different kind of people, race, colour, religion and tribe. In Kaduna State, we appreciate our diversity. This should be utilised for development because God has a purpose of creating everyone of us. We must join our hands together to salvage our state.”
“Issue of security, illiteracy, division, poverty, poor educational infrastructure, empowerment, health and human capital development must be taken seriously. God created us to worship him and help others,” Miqati said while urging the PDP delegates to rally round him.
