Kaduna Hosts Medical Laboratory Scientists Conference In November

Association of Medical Scientists of Nigeria under the leadership of its national president, Alhaji Toyosin Y Raheem will next month, holds its 53 annual Scientific Conference in Kaduna state, the organisers have announced.
The conference which is tagged: Strengthening Medical Laboratory Services: A Panacea For National Health Agenda,” (AMLSN KADA 2017), will bring together notable professionals both in Nigeria and outside the country.
Speaking a press conference on Saturday in preparation for the conference, National Vice President and Chairman, National Organizing Committee AMLSN KADA 2017, Uche Odionyenma who was flanked by the Kaduna state chairman of the association, Thomas Hosea Zaggi, said all medical scientists are liable to results they released adding that the programme is part of efforts aimed at sensitizing their members.
“Without good laboratory test, there will be problem. Improper test results threatens the services of the health care services and as professionals, the Kaduna conference will give us another opportunity to sensitize our members on the need to ensure best practices,” Odionyenma said.
According to him, “Modern healthcare practise has gone beyond the scope and training of one medical profession. Medical laboratory scientists are vital components in the health sector.”
Odionyenma said the November event will help them to face the challenges of medical scientist adding that the programme will commence on Tuesday November 12, 2017 at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua indoor sport complex, Kaduna.
“This will bring together notable researchers and medical professionals in Nigeria. We will continue to work together towards National goal. Our association was established in 1964 and the first conference was held in Lagos. The association is for sharing of scientific ideas and knowledge.”
“The Kaduna conference will be declare open by the state governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai and the week long event will also feature presentation of awards to some eminent Nigerians.
