PDP youth leader says party displayed unity

A head of the conduct of the Local Government Elections in Kaduna State, a grass root politician and community mobilizer, Hon Peter Averik has emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jema’a LGA.
Averik who has been nurturing his interest to serve the People at the local government level since 2015, was declared winner of the PDP primary by the electoral officer, Magaji Sadiq Hunkuyi.
Averik polled 178 votes to defeat his close opponent, Hon Micah Ngboni, who also polled 97 votes.
The primaries which took place at. Unity Wonderland Hotel in Kafanchan, has been described by stakeholders as peaceful.
Speaking to Elanza News, the youth leader in Jema’a LGA, Mr Amos Dauda Arrow, thanked the delegates and the PDP family for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.
According to Arrow, the election of Averik as the flag bearer of the PDP was a testament that the PDP in Jema’a is one family, respects quality representation and the zoning formula.
“As a youth leader who is from Godogodo Zone, our people liaise with the people in Kagoma and Kafanchan zones for the chairmanship position to be given to our zone. All stakeholders including the delegates honoured this agreement and we are very that everything went well.”
“As a leader in the party, I want all the PDP stakeholders to come together like never before because with the candidate that we now have, we are sure of winning the local government elections, “Arrow added.
