Senator representing Kaduna South in the National Assembly, Danjuma La’ah has break an 18 years jinx in the area after securing a return ticket.
The emergence of La’ah which made his contender, Hon Jagaba Adams Jagaba to hug him has made the contest a win-win for the people of Kaduna South senatorial district.
La’ah polled 592 to emerged winner of the PDP primary election that held in Kafanchan while his close contender, Jagaba also polled 353.
In his acceptance speech, La’ah commended the doggedness of Hon Jagaba and urged him to support him.
According to La’ah, Jagaba can contest next time adding that it was now his time to go for a second time, a position no one has returned since 1999.
“Let me thank the entire Southern Kaduna people most especially, the former GMD of NNPC, Mr Andrew Yakubu who stood by me. I am most grateful because they help me to break the jinx,” Danjuma said while assuring the people of Southern Kaduna that he will not let them down.
In a keenly contested election which saw Jagaba leaving his seat to hug La’ah while the counting was about to end, signify a win- win for Southern Kaduna.
