I’m Not Baba Go Slow, No Cabal Controls Me – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has denied claims by his wife, Aisha, that his government was under the control and influence of two powerful forces, just as the President said people were calling him “Baba Go Slow” because he had jettisoned the military way of fighting corruption and opted for due process under a constitutional democracy.

Buhari, in an interview with the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA) on Tuesday, explained that no one or group of persons were dictating the affairs of his government as being claimed. He challenged his wife to prove the existence of the cabal or remain silent.

Pressed to react to the consistent claims by his wife and others over the existence of a cabal running his government, Buhari said: “That is her business. This shows I am a democrat. What they are saying is different from what is happening.

“They should come out and say those things they feel were staged managed by the cabal; what the cabal forced me to do. They should mention just one thing.”
