A member representing Ankpa federal constituency in the House of
Representatives, Hon Hassan Omale, has called on the people of his
constituency to embrace the All Progressives Congress (APC) government
in order to gain more in the nearest future.
Speaking when he commissioned projects in the area to commemorate his
pledge to his constituents, Omale assured them that more will come
from the APC government if they remain resolute in their support for
He stated that his sojourn into politics and his aspiration to
represent Ankpa federal constituency was not borne out of selfishness,
but out of genuine intentions to represent the constituency and impact
on them positively.
“I didn’t canvass for votes to represent the constituency for my
selfish gains but to garner efforts, attract projects, lobby for
employment and to plough back the dividends of democracy to the
people, to make them feel the impact of representation”, Hassan
While promising to impact more on the people of the constituency in
terms of dividends and accelerated development in the area, he urged
the people to give Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State,
time to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people, pointing out
that it is not possible to meet everyone’s demand at the same time and
that certainly, change is sacrosanct and Governor Bello will fulfill
Describing the attainment of good health and the eventual return of
President Buhari as divine, Hassan stated that the coming back of the
president was the highest thing to happen to APC, noting that he can
now caution APC governors on the right steps to avoid booby traps.
The zonal APC chairman in Ankpa, Hon Ibrahim Ocheje, in his remarks at
the occasion, called for total support for Hon Hassan Omale, in his
quest to give back to the people the dividends of democracy.
The high point of the event was the commissioning of borehole in Angwa
Ogebe, Ankpa local government area, control of erosion in Ankpa,
flagg-off of rehabilitation of schools, donations of welfare packages
to the elderly as well as redeeming of the pledge of cash and football
kits to footballers.
