el-Rufai’s Govt Issues Quit Notice To Barnawa Shopping Complex Occupants

The Kaduna State ggovernment through the Kaduna State Development and Property Company Limited has issued a quit notice to all shop occupants in Barnawa shopping complex in Kaduna South Local Government Area of the state.
In a letter signed by the Company’s Secretary/ Legal Adviser, Hassana Abubakar Mustapha, titled, “NOTICE TO QUIT SHOP… BARNAWA SHOPPING COMPLEX,” the government gave seven days for them to vacate.
“You are hereby given 7 (seven ) days notice commencing from today 18th day of August, 2017 to expire on 29th day of August, 2017 to quit and deliver up peaceful possession of the above stated shop which you are using as your business premises…Please acknowledge receipt by signing the photocopy,” the letter stated.
Elanza News reports that a shop occupant who pleaded anonymity, said: “The shops were sold to us by the state government and we paid them on outright purchase. We are shock with the recent development. We won’t let go on what is ours, we shall engage the government in legal battle.”
