Buhari Worse Than Pinochet – Danfulani

Human Rights Activist, Dr John Danfulani has described president Muhammadu Buhari as the worst dictator in Nigerian history, saying the President lacks the needed democratic attributes of a good leader by his outright disobedience of Court orders asking him to release some prominent Nigerians who have been unjustly held in captivity by the Buhari administration.

He made the statement in Kaduna shortly after he was announced winner of the Activist of the year Award by Elanza magazine, a specialized monthly publication.

Dr Danfulani who was a lecturer at the department of Political Science Kaduna State University likened President Buhari to a former President of Chile Augutus Pinochet, a military dictator who was reputed to have been the worst oppressor in modern times.

“ Pinochet, was to some degrees a benevolent dictator. This cannot be said of Buhari under whose grips Nigeria is bleeding, Human lives wasted on daily basis while he looks the other way. Herdsmen seem to have the endorsement of the President to continue the rampage of killing defenseless Nigerians with such impunity that has never been known in our history.

“The country has become a police state with the Federal Government proscribing legitimate religious and political groups such as the Shia and IPOB while killer Herdsmen are allowed to continue their killing spree unhindered. This must not be allowed to continue. Nigerians must vote Buhari out of power and send him to Daura to continue with his cattle rearing business.

“Having Buhari in Aso Rock as the President is the greatest miscue Nigerians have made in their History. Imagine the Military colluding with Herdsmen to commit massacre of innocent Nigerians. In some cases, the Army outrightly kills innocent Nigerians. The case of Shia massacre in Zaria and the current report by the United States Department of Defense indicting Nigerian Military of culpability in extra judicial killings are classic examples of how bad this regime has degenerated to a dictatorship ”. The Human Rights Activist said.

Danfulani further knocked President Buhari for using the Lazy adjective to describe Nigerian Youth, saying the President was more lazy for spending over six months before appointing his cabinets after he was sworn in, in 2015.

“ A President who flies from one country to another for medical tourism while his county burns, a President who hardly has time to attend to pressing National issues but instead goes abroad to de-market his country’s people has no justification to say the Youth of his country are lazy,” Danfulani said.

Among the awardees at the event were Senator Shehu Sani who bagged the All time Activist of the Year Award and Rabo Magaji who was awarded all time Gospel Musician of the year.

Shehu Sani’s Media aide, Abdulsamad Ahmadi who received the plaque on behalf of the Senator reiterated the resolve of his Boss to always stand by the Nigerian Masses against the oppressive regimes despite the dangers associated with such actions, Mr Ahmadi said
