The Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Sen Shehu Sani has described the death of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Most Rev Joseph Danlami Bagobiri as a monumental loss to the People of Kaduna state and the nation at large.

The Senator who described Bagobiri as someone who Kaduna State and the country would be missed, added that the clergy was a moral and spiritual giant.

“He symbolised the conscience of his people and his generation. He was a man of the poor and the oppressed,” Shehu Sani said.

While describing some of the virtues of the late Clergy on his Facebook page, Shehu Sani added: “He was a Peoples Bishop.”

“He was a man never shy, never timid on matters of truth and justice. He lived with dignity and departed with honour. His life was an example and an inspiration for modesty, responsibility  and self respect,” the Senator said.

Sani said Bishop Bagobiri raised a towering bar for honesty and sacrifice in the service and in the defence of the downtrodden and the marginalized. “May he rest in peace and rise in the glory of his Lord,” Sani added.
