Youths agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra have been dvised to rule out violence as a means of realising the struggle.
Speaking at Umuezeoke Ngwu autonomous community, Uzuakoli,
Bende Local government of Abia State during the funeral service of late Mrs Nkechinyere Okezie Ajomiwe, the Abia Central zone MASSOB-BIM Zonal Information Director, Anselam Ogbonna, insisted that nothing good on earth was achieved through violence. He said Biafra as it stands, is a divine agenda which will come when it will come, in such a way that people will enjoy in it, adding, “We will not separate violently because we will need Nigeria and Nigeria will need us. So even if we are going, the relationship will still remain”. His words, “I am using this opportunity to advice youths to always use non-violent agitation in their pursuit for a Biafra nation because nothing good on earth is achieved through violence; and Chief Dr Ralph Uwazuruike who is the chief crusader of Biafra struggle resurrected Biafra struggle of 13th September, 1999 through non-violence and he vowed to actualize Biafra through non-violence”. Earlier in his funeral oration, the husband of the deceased and staunch member of MASSOB-BIM, Mr Okezie Ajomiwe, said his late wife was a freedom fighter through the platform of MASSOB-BIM. He described his late wife as a source of inspiration, adding, “She has been my helper and a wife indeed. He said, “People tried in several tactics to separate our marriage and failed because we know and firmly believed that ‘our redeemer liveth’.
We hardly had quarrels in our marriage, that involved a third party, and because of how we handle our differences within us; people assumed and believed that I am under the control of fetish charms, she used to manipulate me. They assumed so because I didn’t create any chance for them to come into our marriage”
