A democrat and a long standing political achiever, Alh. Bello Umar Kagarko has promised the people of Kaduna state and the People Democratic Party (PDP), whose platform he aspires for governorship; to give quality and purposeful leadership, for the transformation of the state.
Making the promise on Saturday in Kafanchan, during a town hall
meeting/Campaign with PDP officials and delegates of the eight local government areas that comprise zone three, Alh. Bello Umar Kagarko described them as heroes, king makers and foot soldiers of repute, whose struggle has revived the party, when it was defeated in 2015 general election, and are helping to restore the state and the country from the pangs of poverty, underdevelopment, crises
and poor leadership.
Postulating that PDP would wrestle power out from the ruling party at all levels of governance, Bello Kagarko told citizens and the PDP that it would happen if true democrats and God fearing people loving leaders like him are voted to hold the
various political offices.
Alh. Bello Umar Kagarko who is a long standing grass root politician since the era of NRC,that later transformed into PDP, won the 1999 election which urshered-in the third Republic and ruled for 16 years, until impunity that rocked the party and
it lost the 2015 general elections.
Calling on the PDP to learn from its past mistakes, Alh. Bello Kagarko said the party should allow credible candidates be voted by delegates and the electorates for the advancement of the party and the society.
Giving his brief history of being born, had his primary, secondary and NCE education in southern Kaduna,and began his political career in zone three and two, Alh. Bello Kagarko said he is one of the most qualified persons to be given mandate to govern Kaduna state in the fear of God and justice, as he has proven that when he served in different positions of leadership form, delegate to senior special assistant and commissioner in various ministries, especially during the administrations of Senator Mohammad Makarfi and Sir Ibrahim Patrick Yakowa as governors of Kaduna state.
Mentioning few of his achievements to buttress his claim, Bello Kagarko said he was responsible for the establishment of over 100 secondary schools, several primary schools and blue print improvement of quality primary education across the state, science campus of the Kaduna state University in Kafanchan and the
Federal school of statistics Manchok, among many other
chievements. The PDP Gubernatorial aspirant said as one of the party founders, loyalist and promoters, he will implement projects/programmes that will bring total transformation of the state, assuring he will be adopting and improving on the
political leadership style of inclusiveness, embracing all without discrimination of his mentor, Senator Mohammad Makarfi, who is a presidential aspirant of the party.
He assured that if given the mandate of becoming Governor, he will not disappoint the party and the people of Kaduna state as he will lead in the fear of God, embarking on human capital development, especially the promotion of women and youth skills acquisition and entrepreneurial development, review the structure of traditional rulers, to restore their dignity and service.
Introducing the Governorship aspirant, one of the organizers of the townhall meeting, Hon. Sunday Baba, who had served as Councilor in Jema’a Local Government, attested to his credible leadership and achievements, describing him “an experienced, responsible and dependable leader who does not discriminate,a promise keeper and accessible, who can be entrusted with the
governorship of the state.
Hon. Mark Adamson Jankasa, from Zangon Kataf Local Government in a goodwill message, acknowledged the quality leadership of Alh. Bello Kagarko, adding that he is not only a bonifide, dependable and detribalized, but a change agent sacrificing himself to better the people of the state and the party, urging residents
of Kaduna state, Southern Kaduna in particular to invest their trust in him and give him the opportunity to showcase his style of leadership to revamp the peaceful coexistence, unity, glory and advancement of the state.
He cautioned citizens and PDP family against mortgaging their conscience, future and aspirations and that of their children and tomorrow generations because of hunger, calling “let us put our votes for Bello Umar Kagarko, a God fearing person bequeathed with good virtues to defend the cause of the common man”.
Hon. Adamson Jankasa called on the governorship aspirant to tackle the deplorable condition of education, especially in areas of human capital development and empowerment, upgrading of the colleges of Nursing, Kafanchan and Education Gidan Waya to degree awarding institutions.
In their goodwill message, the PDP secretary Jema’a local government, Mr Zamani Habu, Hon. Mohammed Sani Shuaibu Chawai from Kauru Local Government, the former council chairman- Sanga Local Government, Hon Danladi M. Bello, Hon.
Saidu Ahmed from Kagarko Local Government and Hajiya Hajo Mohammed, a women leader said, the state is blessed and fortunate in having Bello Kagarko as one of the best persons God will use to wrestle power for the PDP, to bring about true democracy needed for the unity and development, people are yarning for.
They called on people of good will to key into the campaign and never rest until Alh. Bello Umar Kagarko and Senator Mohammed Makarfi are voted and sworn in as flag bearers, governor and president from the primaries to the general elections.
