ABSENCE OF PERSONNEL CRIPPLES MEDICAL SERVICES IN KANINKON CHIEFDOM

From Julius B. kezi
Absence of medical and non medical personnel at the Dangoma Health clinic in Kaninkon chiefdom of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State have continued to cripple medical services at the centre.

The Wamban Kaninkon, Mallam Mamuda Suleiman stated this in an interview with our correspondent in
his residence in Dangoma on Tuesday.

Mallam Suleiman explained that the health centre has been running with few staff since it was
established some years ago. He disclosed that the population of his community was on the increase, therefore needs proper medical attention, considering the difficulty in travelling to Kafanchan, a far distance to get treatment whenever there are emergency cases.
The traditional ruler further expressed concern that his council has severally approached the local Government Council on the issue only to be told to exercise patience as the matter will be addressed soon.

The Wamban Kaninkon then called on the three-tiers of government to as a matter of saving human lives, construct a road from Dangoma to Godogodo and from Baki Kogi to Jagindi to access health
services and boost economic activities in the area, as people find it difficult to transfer their farm
produce to their houses due to the bad nature of the road.
