A Presidential hopeful, Mr Iheanachor Ezeakor has called on Nigerian youths to sit up and take the mantle of leadership, saying that days are gone where there was a believe that Nigerian youths are not capable.
Iheanachor said this on Thursday when he paid a courtesy visit on the National Chairman, Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) in Abuja to get registered with the party.
Iheanachor who was endorsed in 2017 at a youth summit, held in Enugu for the 2019 presidential election further called on youths to understand the importance of nation building so that things will be put together to make Nigeria a better country.
While stressing that youths in his region are eager and want to make attempt, he called for oneness. “Myself I’m a Nigerian, I’m not an Igbo man and I don’t have religion. I believe in the most supreme Being and for that reason, I respect everyone’s believe. Let us embark on nation building. What is relevant now is how to make this county secured.”
Responding to his speech, the National Party Chairman , APDA, Mallam Shitu Mohammed Kabir lamented that with all the resources in the country, Nigeria has been suffering since independence in 1960.
He called on youths in the country to step out while also lamenting the ineffectiveness of leaders to take the country forward. “All I will say is that these people are coming to kill us. We must start thinking because we are young. We should not allow our leaders that have used divide and rule to control our lives and destinies and plunged us to where we are today. ”
