2019: Ashiru Returning Kaduna Back To It’s Owners

Many people in Kaduna, including professionals, students, business men and women, farmers have endorsed Hon Isa Ashiru’s quest to return Kaduna back to the people in 2019, ELANZA News writes.
Kaduna’s two term House of Representatives member, State House of Assembly lawmaker, former local government chairman, Isa Ashiru, joins the ranks of people in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking to return Kaduna State back to the original owners – the people.
PDP slogan – Power to the People have been reignited following Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed’s outburst that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) should not be trusted beyond 2019.
Hakeem described the APC style of governance as ‘discriminatory’ and should not be trusted anymore.
But Ashiru’s race is gaining ground with support coming from students, business men and women, farmers, academia and other professionals.
His last election into the House of Representatives in 2011 made him to kick-start the fight to bring the Kaduna dream back to those who feel it’s slipping away.
As a good father, Ashiru has spent most of his life in the state having served as both a local government chairman, House of Assembly member and Kudan/ Makarfi representative from Kaduna State.
He seems to have good knowledge of every part of Kaduna State and appreciates it’s diversity, haven spent most of his productive life in the defund capital of Northern Nigeria.
Fiercely proud of his Kaduna heritage, Ashiru’s vision is driven by the principles of work, human feeling and family.
No wonder he wrote in his whatsapp contact: “My family, my people, my pride.”
As a household name in Kaduna politics, Ashiru’s support base spread across the three Senatorial districts.
“His support is not just within the political class but it includes the academia, students, business men, women and other professionals,” said Innocent Jacob.
He said Ashiru is viewed as a grounded politician in Kaduna politics.
Ashiru holds the traditional tittle of Sarkin Bai Zazzau. He is viewed as a philanthropist that has endeared many project to his constituency which includes: Police Academy, Hunkuyi, Mini Dam, Solar Power, ICT Centre, Youth Development Centre, Police Station, Hospital, Stadium and Town Halls, it was gathered.
His initiatives also endeared numerous infrastructures in schools such as Hostels, Computer Centres, development of agricultural scheme, road construction and employment.
“That is why most people are working to ensure the actualisation of this project even without his consent,” a social media commentator who is also an economist, Tikikus Simon said.
As the 2019 general election keep coming closer, the people of Kaduna State are looking for the qualities of Ashiru to be the next governor.
Findings show that Kaduna people are looking for a candidate who is accessible, not arrogant and not full of himself.
While most professionals belief Ashiru possesses such qualities, they are calling on all politicians and professionals to join hands with Ashiru in other to return Kaduna back to the people.
“Kaduna must be return back to the owners in 2019,” a political commentator, Shuaibu Abubakar, said.
According to Shuaibu, what is happening in Kaduna is unfortunate but only required people to join the likes of Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Yaro Makama, Sen Suleiman Hunkuyi, Hon Jagaba Adams Jagaba, Ambassador Sule Buba, Dr Tijjani Ramalan, Mekiah, Tom Mataimaki Maiyashi, Isa Ashiru and a host of others to salvage the state.
